Who We Are:

 Darcy Haber, Broker/Owner, Ecobroker

darcyHeadshot.jpgDarcy arrived in Madison in 1992 for law school and although she didn't plan on staying, she fell in love with Madison and never left. Since that time, Darcy has been active in the community as a consumer rights attorney, as a community activist (proud to oppose the Walker agenda), as a real estate professional, and as an involved mom of two wonderful children. She has served on several boards of local nonprofits such as Community Shares of Wisconsin, the Social Justice Center, and ABC for Health. She currently serves on the board of the Greater Williamson Area Business Association and volunteering with Girls, Inc.

MADISON ECOBROKER®

Darcy particularly enjoys the opportunity to help buyers view homes from an energy and health perspective, and teach opportunities on how to upgrade to energy-efficient features.

As one of a handful of EcoBrokers® in Madison, she is excited to bring her EcoBroker® specialty and knowledge to her clients.

Through the EcoBroker® coursework she can now offer the expertise of being able to highlight the energy-efficient and indoor air quality features a potential home may have, connect you with local experts for testing or for upgrading your home, and discuss financing and incentives for your green improvements. For sellers, it means she has been specifically trained to market the environmental and energy-efficient aspects of your home and target the right market to provide maximum exposure. It excites me to help people move to Madison, or move within Madison to find not only a great home but also the best neighborhood for them.

When she is able to carve out some free time, Darcy likes to bike, cross-country ski, and embark on home improvement projects she should probably leave to the professionals. Darcy and her husband, David, who is a public school teacher, have lived on Madison's Near East side for over 20 years and are passionate about the community they call home.

Peggy Adams, Real Estate Agent

peggy@solidarityrealty.com  (608) 206-2106

Peggy Adams joined the Solidarity Realty team in February of 2014. As a native of Madison, she knows a thing or two about how conditions in the community have declined thanks to Walker and his supporters. This is why she feels at home with a team that devotes themselves to strengthening our city and its members.

Peggy has her degree in Real Estate and Certificate in Property Management from MATC (now known as Madison College)and she got her license to practice Real Estate. Prior to her college studies, she completed her high school diploma at Madison East High. Once out of school, Peggy started her career in property management working with an array of neighborhoods from affordable housing to luxury apartment homes located across both Dane and Columbia counties. An excellent multi-tasker, Peggy's claim to fame was starting to practice real estate halfway through her pregnancy and closing 3 deals in the last 3 months of her pregnancy!

In her free time, Peggy loves to spend time with her her daughter Autumn, her husband and her furry child, a 7 year old Shih-Tzu. Peggy also enjoys spending time in the summer on Lake Wisonconsin or around any body of water she can find. Her passions include animals, music, and family. Oh, and did we mention she is a huge Milwaukee Brewers Fan?

michael@solidarityrealty.com  (608) 213-3551

Michael comes to Solidarity Realty from an extraordinary background  of bringing together people and housing – that is his passion. For 15 years, he has built, designed, developed, and acquired housing with families all over Madison and Dane County.

After building housing on site for seven years – five of those years, leading crews of young people at Operation Fresh Start – Michael was invited to join staff at Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. He was hired by Habitat to find building sites or homes for renovation, and then to figure out what to build for the families who would live there. Over the last eight years, Michael learned real estate by buying, developing, and selling properties for Habitat, then for the Madison Area Community Land Trust, and most recently for the Madison Community Cooperative.

Michael holds a Wisconsin real estate brokerage license and he knows residential home construction and design from the inside-out.  But his qualifications don’t stop there. His easygoing personality puts clients at ease, and he listens carefully to their needs. Michael ‘s special  passion is matching his buyers with the perfect house for their needs and lifestyle.

Karla Tollefson-Boyer, Transactions Coordinator/Office Manager

We are fortunate to have Karla as a transaction coordinator and general office assistant. Not only is she a friendly face to always have in the office, Karla is quite the Renaissance woman. She managed to fit 3 careers in her 36 years in the working world so we get the benefits of her childcare experience, driving for Union cab, and her experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The fact is, we  had to draw on all 3 skills within her first 6 months on the job. If you want some information fast about a transaction, she is probably the best person to talk to by calling the main office line (608) 284-9311, because even if you can reach the rest of us on our cell, we may not have the file in front of us.

David FawcettSocial Media Specialist, Right Hand Person

small_better_David_mugh_shot.jpg

David Fawcett received his master's degree in education here at the UW Madison, escaped briefly to teach in San Francisco and later returned to live here in order to marry Darcy. While he works part-time as a public school teacher at Nuestro Mundo, Governor Walker has convinced him that is not enough -- at least not enough for economic security -- so he spends much of his time supporting the family business any way he can. He troubleshoots technology glitches and otherwise is responsible for keeping Solidarity Realty on the cutting edge of social media marketing. In addition, he basically does everything Darcy doesn't have time to or can't do -- and he is always a friendly face to see around the office.  David is particularly useful in the summer, and fortunately that turns out to be our busiest time!
