As spring sets in and grass starts to grow, keep in mind No/Low Mow May!
This initiative to not mow in May has been proven to help pollinators find substantial food sources. After it was first introduced to American lawn owners in Appleton, they saw a 400% increase in bee populations.
Each community is different. Check your local guidelines to see if your area is participating in Low Mow May or if they’re entirely suspending mowing regulations for May. Some areas may require registration.
